From childhood, I had been fascinated by the mysteries shrouding the exotic island of Cuba. The chance to actually go there and record an album seemed well beyond the reach of even the most optimistic expectations. However, I believe that anything is possible with enough persistence and determination. Therefore, I set out to make this project happen with the belief and assistance of my friend Frank Reno.
